The Westbury Transformation and Development Centre is a vibrant, mixed-use public building designed to restore a sense of pride and visibility to the local community. Built on a narrow sliver of land, the design anchors itself around a preserved old school building, transforming it into a safe pre-school courtyard. The main structure steps back from the street to create a generous public plaza, while the northern edge introduces a forest of 33 indigenous Acacia trees. Complete with a ten-meter-tall living green wall of resilient succulents, the building stands as a sustainable landmark that champions community healing and spatial justice
